Thinking Machines announced Inkling 2 Small, a large multimodal model that can build and refine websites, games, and 3D designs from visual feedback. Full Apache 2.0 open weights are planned after external safety testing.
Why it matters: Open models keep closing the gap with frontier ones. For many business workloads, the right model may soon be one you can run and control yourself, which changes both cost and data-governance math.
